Anne Sorensen

Anne at workTasmanian born Anne has always been interested in the arts, after completing courses in drawing and ceramics she discovered glass and developed a passion for expression in this medium. In 1992 Anne founded Goanna Stained Glass and worked as a full time stained glass artist, with her studio in Mount Hawthorn. 

Her busy practice has secured commissions in many private homes as well as public spaces. Annes work can be seen at the Bayswater Swimming Pool, London Court, Trinity Arcade as well as in the restoration of the domes of the Supreme Court of Western Australia, to name a few. Copper foiled Tiffany style lamps were added to her repetoire. 


The discovery of kiln formed glass is the most recent developement. This very distinctive work can be seen in leading galleries including Aspects of Kings Park, ARQ - Osborne Park ,Gather - Canberra Glassworks, Framed Art Gallery - Darwin, Fremantle Art Centre, Glass Artist's Gallery - Sydney, Glass Gallery Plus - Melbourne, Gunyulgup Galleries - Yallingup, Mundaring Art Centre.


In 2012 Anne and Barry moved their practice to Bouvard to concentrate exclusively on their studio practice.
